So you want to know where to find restaurants with some delicious plant-based and gluten-free meals in Krakow? I’ve been scouting around since May, and even though there were other things on my plate, I finally made time to share the goods with you.
Let’s dive right in. If you’re in need of a quick, vegan lunch, a homey dinner, or maybe you’re feeling fancy and want an elegant plant-based dining experience, Krakow has few spots for you.
I’ve handpicked these gluten-free restaurants based on the variety of meals they offer and their unique ambiance (think cozy bars, chic spots, places with top-notch service, and some without). With this guide, I am convinced you’ll easily find the perfect gluten-free place in Kraków for any occasion. There are also places in Kraków where you can order gluten free pizza, pierogi or completely gluten free bakery in Kraków.

Latest Gluten Free Finds – Vegan AF Ramen & Van Groch
Recently, I had the pleasure of trying out two new joints: Vegan AF Ramen and Van Groch – Vegan Bistro. I can tell you, they left quite an impression.

How to Find Best Place to Stay in Krakow Old Town – Your Guide
I wanted to swing by Van Groch – Vegan Bistro last summer, but you know how it goes, sometimes the places closest to us are the hardest to find. And boy, was I missing out. They whip up some seriously mouth-watering gluten-free pancakes, offering both savory and sweet options. The ones I tried included the Russian (“Van rus”), Mexican (“Van mex”), and their “Van Nutella” (with chocolate cream).

All the pancakes were jam-packed with flavorful fillings. Crafting gluten-free pancakes isn’t a walk in the park, but these guys nailed it. Their pancakes hold together and don’t crumble while eating, a common issue with gluten-free options.
On the other hand, Vegan AF Ramen isn’t entirely gluten-free (since they use soy sauce with gluten), but they do serve up gluten-free rice flour ramen noodles that give wheat noodles a run for their money. I had a chance to sample their wheat-free ramen special one weekend, and while the noodles were top-notch, I found the broth a bit too rich for my liking.
If you prefer clear broths, you might want to look elsewhere, but don’t get me wrong, their pasta and toppings are generous and delectable. So, if you fancy hearty soups and stumble upon a gluten-free option (which, from what I know, they serve every weekend), Vegan AF Ramen is your go-to spot.

A Classy Gluten-Free Evening Out in Krakow
When you’re in the mood for something upscale, Krakow has just the right spots for you. Here’s one of my current favorites, Pod Norenami. The standout feature of this place, I think, is that it serves scrumptious, elegant, and veggie-loaded dishes. It’s an excellent spot to get a taste of Asian cuisine. Sure, not all dishes are completely vegan (they do serve eggs), but a lot are, and that’s a big plus.
They also make their own „meat” in-house using gluten-free ingredients. Just because the menu doesn’t show many gluten-free options, don’t let that deter you. The staff there are super helpful, and they’ll happily guide you to tailor your meal to your specific dietary needs. As for the food, let me tell you, it’s rich, unique, and simply to-die-for.

Casual Dining – Bhajan Cafe
Moving on to some vegan-friendly places that offer great service, I’d recommend Bhajan Cafe. This place is my first port of call when I’m craving some Indian food. Although they do serve paneer cheese, making it not entirely vegan, they have an impresive array of plant-based options. Here, you’ll find gluten-free chickpea pancakes that make a great alternative to naan bread.

I’ve tried everything on their menu, and it’s all excellent, but the chana masala always gets me coming back for more. Just a heads up, though – if you’re getting takeaway, be prepared for lots of plastic packaging.
Youmiko – Gluten Free Sushi
Then there’s Youmiko Sushi. Now, this place isn’t vegetarian (they do serve fish), but, oh boy, do they make some killer vegan and gluten-free sushi! Ever since a friend pointed me their way, I’ve not had sushi anywhere else.

The sushi chefs there, I believe, are nothing short of creative geniuses. It’s not all about avocado and gourd rolls there; they regularly mix it up with seasonal offerings like asparagus or pumpkin. If you ask for the gluten-free option, you can be certain your rice wasn’t prepared with wheat soy sauce. Oh, and they’ve got gluten-free tempura too! Do yourslf a favor and try the „vegan cake” – it’s a delightful combo of rice, eggplant, and avocado! Trust me, it’s well worth a visit.
Diverse Tastes – Cocina Verde
There’s this place, Cocina Verde, that I hold dear to my heart. I had there my very first vegan and gluten-free pizza. Today, it’s nestled in Krakow (much to my delight), and it’s a lot fancier than its modest basement beginnings.

They’ve got a variety of offerings like salads, pasta, daily specials, and other dinner dishes, apart from their pizza. Do yourself a favor and try their salad with pear, tofu, and almonds – it comes with some really tasty gluten-free bread. I must say, though, prices here are on the higher end and portion sizes have shrunk a bit recently. Nevertheless, you’re guaranteed a warm, tasty meal, served by their super friendly staff.
A Quick Stop at Bistro Błonia
While Bistro Blonia might not have a huge gluten-free vegan menu, it is definitely worth a visit if you find yourself walking around Krakow’s Błonia. Stop by for their delicious tacos filled with red cabbage and oyster mushrooms.

Gluten-Free Pizza in Kraków
Now, if it’s a vegan and gluten-free pizza you’re after in Krakow, check the Pizza Loft. Here, you get thin, crispy crusts, a bounty of vegan toppings (yes, cheese included), and excellent service. Located a short walk from Wawel towards Kazimierz, it’s the perfect place for a lunch break during your strolls or sightseeing. During summer, it’s absolutely wonderful to grab a pizza to go and enjoy it by the Vistula River. I highly recommend it.

Tutti Santi’s pizza has already reached the status of legendary. Now, the multi-award winning, distinguished Italian pizzaiolo, Valerio Valle, has crafted a special dough recipe that’s gluten-free and bursting with the exceptional taste of Italian pizza.

The gluten-free pizza served at Tutti Santi is made from a carefully selected, high-quality blend of flours, handpicked by our Master Pizzaiolo. This is no random composition—Valerio Valle’s deep knowledge of baking and his extensive experience ensures that this pizza is truly extraordinary.
A Quick Bite at Vege To Tu
For a quick, tasty bite, I would suggest Vege To Tu It’s a small, 100% vegan place where you can get your hands on some incredible gluten-free falafels. They are perfect for a picnic in Błonia, or simply to enjoy on a bench in Krakow’s Planty. You can check their fb page here.
Gluten-Free on Wheels – Food Trucks
So there’s Turlaj Klopsa. Looking for a vegan and gluten-free outdoor lunch? You must swing by one of their three food trucks. Here, you can order boxes filled with vegetable meatballs (you get to choose from several flavors), sauce, and veggie/carb side dishes.

In my opinion, the best spot is located in Kazimierz, at Plac Izaaka (side street. Józefa). This is a proper „food truck market”, so you can enjoy your meal under an umbrella rather than on a random bench. Trust me, it’s a great experience.
