Alternative Districts – Salwator, Zakrzówek, and Nowa Huta
Salwator, located in the western suburbs of the Old Town, is a quiet spot, far from the city’s bustling tourist areas. This affluent district is a green oasis, often overlooked by tourists, despite its charm.
One of its main attractions is the Kosciuszko Mound and its surrounding fortifications. If you visit during warm weather, take a leisurely walk along the Vistula. I am convinced that the sight of the Camaldolese Monastery and Krakow Zoo nestled in the Wolski Forest, visible from the top of the hill, will make your day.
